Located on the Commonwealth curve near West Gray, The Flat, a small boxy new Montrose drinkery, can be hard to spot. Crossing over this curve at night can be a little hair-raising, but once inside, you'll feel completely at home. To the left is an apartment living room-sized social area with a couple of wood tables (read: classy) and modern patio chairs (read: hip). To the right, The Flat opens up into the main room, where the no-beers-on-tap bar caters to a crowd of mixed-drink guzzlers. Judging by the nearby couches overflowing with pixie pretties, it’s safe to assume this convenient lounge area is hot property, literally. DJ Sun kicks off the workweek Monday with down-tempo beats that make hanging out here even homier.
