Houston's oldest haunted house gets more horrifying
Published on October 08, 2008 at 1:42am
ScreamWorld continues to live up to its name. The haunted house was beefed up this year with movie-set quality scenes to ensure you strain your vocal cords. The newly added farmhouse, tomb and outdoor graveyard sites are packed with zombies, monsters, chainsaw maniacs and other terrifying things that go bump in the night and "boo!" in your face. Along with the new scenery, ScreamWorld still has some of its older attractions, including actual cars that rush at you with headlights blazing and horns blaring, tilting hallways and an outdoor maze. The brains behind ScreamWorld have been at it for more than ten years. You and your wallet would be hard-pressed to find better scares anywhere else in H-town. 7:30 to 10 p.m. Thursdays and Sundays, as well as Tuesday and Wednesday, October 28 and 29; 8 p.m. to midnight, Fridays through Saturdays; 7:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. Halloween night.
